• It is a one-time commitment, you are not obligated to do anything for the entire school year! 

• Member benefits. PTSA members can save more money through WA state and National PTA member benefits than they have to spend for their membership fee.

• Parent involvement in their child’s education is the #1 influencer for them doing better in school.

• Be a role model. By becoming a PTSA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.

• Get connected. There is no better way to know what’s happening in your school.

• Speak up. Because the PTSA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions that can create change at your child’s school.

• Discover great resources. The PTSA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.

• Tap into a network. PTSA functions provide opportunities to meet other parents, teachers, our principal, build rapport, and discuss parenting issues that are on your mind.

Our PTSA also plays an important role in fundraising - something the school itself is not allowed to do. The funds raised (typically in the Fall and every other Spring in our major campaigns) provide curriculum-based programs, social events, technology, field trips, art supplies and more – all vital to our Grand Ridge school community!

It only costs about 6 cents a day - $25/year - to become a PTSA member (two adults per household). And you’ll join the nearly 500 million other people nationwide who share your interest in issues affecting children. Everyone – parents, educators, students and other community members active in the school and community – is invited to join our not-for-profit organization!
