This month we are excited to sponsor several virtual events to ignite our students' curiosity and understanding of the world. From chemistry to outer space to the San Diego Zoo, there are great topics to excite your student! Click here to learn more and to register for these fun events.

Spirt days, pets, art, and other fun photos are needed for this year's yearbook. Also if your student missed picture day at school, you can still submit one of your own. Upload details on our yearbook page. Pictures needed by March 31! 

While you're there, don't forget to order a yearbook for your student(s) and have them fill out a short fun survey for a yearbook feature.

The Grizzly Gear spirit store is now open! Order your gear by March 28th. There are items for kids and adults. Orders will begin to ship mid-April. Please contact grptsafundraising@gmail.com with any questions.

We are beginning to plan for next year’s PTSA Board of Directors and would love to have new parents and caregivers passionate about this school community join the board. Curious? Send Kainoa a quick note at grptsavolunteers@gmail.com and we’ll answer any questions!

Our postcard project aims to show how connected Grizzlies are to the world. Can we get a postcard from every state in the US? How many different countries will we receive postcards from?

Use social media, email, and letters to request postcards from other people. Students were issued one postcard, but your requests to family and friends can be endless!

Save the date! On Monday, March 22 at 4pm we will be hosting a PTSA meeting. During this meeting we will be announcing PTSA awards, reviewing our budget for next year, and discussing upcoming plans. If you have any questions you'd like to discuss with the PTSA or Principal Ravenscraft, please join us or send us an email.

The meeting agenda, materials, and zoom link will be posted to our website a few days before the event.

This event may interest our 5th grade families as they prepare for middle school in the fall.

Academic Life Coach, Gretchen Wegner will condense the complex neuroscience of learning into three simple steps you can apply immediately, and she will share an easy checklist for what to do before each test so you can succeed.

Mr. Dave (pictured in the red shirt) is our beloved custodian at Grand Ridge. We asked him a few questions so everyone could get to know him better.

How long have you been at Grand Ridge: 

I have worked at Grand Ridge since 2013. I started off as the night custodian, and when there was an opportunity for the lead that came open, I applied and have been the lead custodian now for 4 years.

Favorite food:

I grew up in Michigan and love the Detroit Red Wings and Michigan Wolverines

Best thing about working at Grand Ridge:

The Children! I care about the children of the Grand Ridge community tremendously and have enjoyed establishing relationships with them for a safe, clean and fun Grand Ridge experience. It’s fun to see them start off as 1^st graders and sad to see them leave as 5^th graders, but the 5 years in between is quite the journey, and the journey is what it’s all about.

March materials distribution is on Wednesday March 3rd.

Curbside service.  Pull up to the front of the school.  Remain in your car. We will bring materials to your car.  

**No scheduled 4th grade pick-up this time. Fourth graders have what they currently need.

The Issaquah School District now offers free breakfast and lunches to all children 18 and under. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended the free meal program through the end of the 2020-21 school year. This allows us to serve free, nutritious meals to all children 18 and younger, regardless of income or enrollment in the Issaquah School District. Learn more on the ISD website.
