Join our amazing art project to say "Welcome to Grand Ridge" to kids from all over the world! 

On simple rocks you find outside, write the word welcome in your native language, decorate the rock with your country's colors or motifs and bring it to school. Leave it in the covered area in front of the Office.

The Grand Ridge PTSA is proud to sponsor the GIFT-A-BOOK program which expands our school’s library with new and exciting high-quality materials and promotes reading among our students. This year we are offering the option of selecting either an eBook or a physical book. Books are typically $15-$50 each. Learn more here!

While we are not able to hold our annual Falloween event this year, that doesn't mean we can't still have some fun!  We are coming up with some great ways for you to celebrate Falloween, socially distanced.  Look for more information on our website soon!

For those participating in this year's Reflections Art Program, submissions are due by October 30, 2020  The theme for the 2020-21 school year is "I Matter Because....". Students can use their creative talents to express themselves through original art work on this theme. Learn more on our Reflections Art Program page.

Mr. Gary Aguilar is our new Vice-Principal. We asked him a few questions so everyone could get to know him a bit better.

Tells us a little about yourself: 

I have lived in Washington my whole life and love the PNW. I have been in education for 15 years as a teacher of first and fifth grades and as a Dean of Students. I’m have been married to my wife Kaci for 16 years and we have three wonderful children Aron, June and Paige. Aron is an 8^th grader, June is in 5^th grade and Paige is in the 3^rd grade. I enjoy camping, reading, brewing and spending time with my family and friends.

What have you been focused on so far in your role at Grand Ridge:

My focus has been learning as much as I can about Grand Ridge’s staff, students and the community. I have been visiting classes via zoom and introducing myself. It has been great meeting the amazing students of Grand Ridge.

Favorite food: 

I enjoy Mexican food and pizza

Favorite children’s book: 

If I Built a Car by Chris Van Dusen. You should also check out his other If I Built… books. They have brilliant illustrations and are a fun read.

Favorite sports team: 

My favorite football team is the Seattle Seahawks. My favorite hockey team is the Vancouver Canucks but they will become a close second once the Kraken starting playing.

Favorite thing to do on a Saturday afternoon in the fall: 

If it’s not raining a nice walk to take in the fall colors is always nice. If I have to stay inside a hot cup of coffee, warm blanket, book and family nearby is tops on my list.

There are so many way to PTA - join us for our meetings, fill out the volunteer interest form so we can contact you when volunteer opportunities arise, join the PTSA. Things are a little different this year, but there are still lots of ways to be involved.
