2020 Falloween Fun

Things look a bit different this fall season. But not everything has to change: leaves still fall, pumpkins still grow, and kids often like to dress up no matter what time of year it is.

So to celebrate together - even while we're apart -  all students are invited to join our Pumpkin Decorating and Halloween Costume contests!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest Details

  • Upload a picture of your student's decorated pumpkin here: GR Pumpkin Contest
  • Include your student's first name or initials (no last names) and grade
  • One entry per student; submit by Friday, October 30
  • One winner from each grade will be drawn from those who enter and announced on our website on October 31

Be creative - it can be silly, sweet or spooky! Or get together with some friends in Zoom or Teams and decorate your pumpkins together and then share your creations!

Halloween Costume Contest Details

  • Upload a picture of your student in their fall/Halloween costume here: GR Halloween Costume Contest
  • Include your student's first name or initials (no last names) and grade
  • One entry per student; submit by Friday, October 30
  • One winner from each grade will be drawn from those who enter and announced on our website on October 31

We can't wait to see all the costume fun! Remember all items posted must follow school costume guidelines (be appropriate and don't include weapons in the pics).

*Please note that by uploading photos to Padlet, you are consenting to have them viewed by all who access this link and pictures may be used for the Grand Ridge 2020-21 yearbook.

Other ideas to get in the Fall spirit

  • Create artwork out of leaves and sticks you find around your home
  • Dress up
  • Have a socially distanced dance party with your neighbors (blast some music and dance outside your own home to maintain social distance - make sure to coordinate this with your neighbors first)
  • Create a haunted house/spooky walkway in your home for your whole family to enjoy
  • "Boo" your neighbors and friends.  You can search for lots of ideas on the internet.
  • Enter the Issaquah Highlands Home Decorating Contest
  • Make caramel apples
  • Watch a spooky movie with your family
  • Hide candy around your home and do a flashlight search
